This ruby has natural inclusions and fractures which have been filled in with glass to improve its appearance. This process makes it less valuable than its more flawless GIA-certified cousins. However, there's still something quite special about wearing a beautiful stone that has spent a lifetime under the earth before it was mined, cut, polished, and brought to life on a dainty little chain for your enjoyment.

The ruby color is more of a natural, rosy mauve than a bright, saturated red. Since this ruby has been treated, it needs special care. Avoid getting acids and harsh detergents on this ruby such as lemon juice, bleach, and ammonia. To clean, wash with water and mild soap and dry thoroughly.

Beaded chain measures 1 mm in width with 2mm beads while the simple chain measures 1.2mm in width. Ruby teardrop measures 4 x 6mm to 5 x 7mm.
